Kia ora and a warm welcome to our Lower Moutere School community!
At Lower Moutere School, we believe that education is a partnership between school and home. Our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a vibrant, friendly group of parents, whānau, and staff dedicated to making our school the absolute best place for our children to thrive, learn, and grow.
Why Join the PTA?
Every parent and caregiver at Lower Moutere School is automatically a member of our school community, but joining the PTA team is your chance to get hands-on.
By getting involved, you can:
Make a Real Difference: From funding awesome new playground equipment and classroom resources to supporting school trips, the PTA raises funds that directly enrich our children’s daily school life.
Strengthen Our Community: We organise events that bring us all together—creating a fun, connected, and supportive environment for our families and our wider Moutere community.
Have Your Say & Connect: It’s a fantastic way to meet other parents, share fresh ideas, get to know our staff, and stay closely connected with what’s happening around the school.
"But I don't have enough time..."
Don't worry! There is no pressure and no massive time commitment required.
We know everyone is busy with work, farm, or family life. Being part of the PTA doesn't mean you have to sign up for every meeting or run every event. Whether you can bake for a fundraiser, help out for an hour at a school disco, share a brilliant idea, or take on a bigger role—every single bit of help counts.
We are a relaxed, welcoming bunch and we would love to see come and join us.

Can’t make meetings? No problem at all. You can join our "Friends of the PTA" email list to help out behind the scenes whenever a project pops up that suits your schedule.
Our children thrive when our community comes together. Let’s work together to make Lower Moutere School an even more incredible place for our tamariki.
